Vrijdag 23 april verscheen ons interview met Laure Mandeville, over het exporteren van FFF’s ideeën naar Frankrijk en de rest van Europa, in Franse krant Le Figaro. We spraken Mandeville over hoe belangrijk het is om als Europa de emancipatie van biculturele vrouwen te steunen en over ons werk in de strijd tegen genitale verminking en huwelijkse gevangenschap. We zetten ons met veel enthousiasme in om ook in de rest van Europa erkenning te krijgen voor huwelijkse gevangenschap als vorm van geweld tegen vrouwen. Door onze inzet van de afgelopen jaren is Nederland het eerste land ter wereld dat actieve maatregelen neemt in de strijd tegen huwelijkse gevangenschap. Friday 23 april, our interview with Laure Mandeville, about exporting FFF’s ideas to France and the rest of Europe, was published in French newspaper Le Figaro. We spoke to Mandeville about the importance of Europe’s support for the emancipation of bicultural women and about our work to combat genital mutilation and marital captivity. We are committed to gaining recognition in the rest of Europe for marital captivity as a form of violence against women. Because of our efforts over the last years, the Netherlands is the first country worldwide to take active measures to combat marital captivity.
